T-Mobile has announced a huge expansion to extend coverage and calling across the United States, Mexico, and Canada for all Simple Choice customers at no additional charge. The new expansion called “Mobile without Borders” is an industry first that allows for calling to both land lines and mobile phones. In addition, 4G LTE data can be accessed straight from the customer’s plan in all three countries at no extra cost. T-Mobile’s Simple Choice plan will become the first and only wireless plan to span an entire continent. AT&T has spent billions on purchasing Mexican telecoms looking to be the first seamless network to cover the United State and Mexico, however T-Mobile plans to release their program first and up AT&T’s plan by offering Canada for free as well. There have been a number of high-profile Nintendo games that have flopped. But one of the biggest failures may have been one that you heard almost nothing about. Project H.A.M.M.E.R., a Wii game from Nintendo Software Technology, died after six years of painful development. The game began development in 2003 and was pitched as a core game for the Wii. When it was unveiled at E3 in 2006, the game was reportedly “75-percent complete.” Following E3, the game disappeared until it was officially cancelled in 2009. Read more >>

Hewlett-Packard has announced that Bill Veghte, the COO and Chief Strategy Officer, will be leaving the company. As the current executive VP and head of the Enterprise Group, the $28 billion division of HP’s servers and networking gear, Veghte will be leaving behind over half of the new company which is planned to come to fruition on November 1. The split preparation was assigned to him by CEO Meg Whitman. Veghte will be “pursuing another opportunity” which is currently unknown. Read more >>

According to Forbes, in 2014, 71% of 16 to 24 year olds wanted wearable technology, which most people are defining as clothing and accessories equipped with computer and advanced electronic technologies. Good news for these eager customers is that Intel, the world’s largest and highest-valued semiconductor chipmaker, has recently completed the acquisition of Recon Instruments, a Canadian company which produces heads-up display (HUD) sensors and smart glasses for sports. The Federal Communications Commission has fined the country’s second-largest cellular carrier, AT&T, with the largest fine they have ever issued: $100,000,000. That’s a hundred million dollars. The FCC is accusing AT&T for violating the FCC’s rules on corporate transparency, claiming that AT&T has been improperly “throttling” internet speeds for customers who thought they were paying for “unlimited” data.
